RUICHI Hardware is deeply engaged in the field of building hardware foreign trade, strictly adhering to the international standards of INCOTERMS 2020. Our approach clearly defines the responsibilities, obligations, costs, and risk boundaries for both buyers and sellers, precisely aligning with different procurement scales, logistics needs, and cooperation scenarios. 1. EXW (Ex Works)

EXW (Ex Works) means that the seller fulfills its delivery obligation when the goods are placed at the disposal of the buyer at the seller’s premises.

Seller’s Responsibility: Prepares goods at factory; does not undertake transportation, customs clearance, insurance, or related costs.

Buyer’s Responsibility: Arranges pickup from the seller’s premises; bears all costs and risks for the entire transport, import/export customs clearance, and any other expenses.

Applicable Scenarios: Sample shipments, small trial orders, buyers with their own regular freight forwarder.

2. FOB (Free On Board)

Free on Board means that the seller delivers the goods by placing them on board the vessel nominated by the buyer at the named port of shipment, or by procuring the goods already so delivered.

Seller’s Responsibility: Deliver the goods to the named port of shipment and complete loading onto the vessel, handle export customs clearance, and bear all costs and risks prior to loading.

Buyer’s Responsibility: Bear the ocean freight, cargo insurance, destination port customs clearance, import duties and taxes, and all risks after the goods are loaded on board.

Applicable Scenarios: Large-volume ocean freight orders, long-term wholesale partners, buyers with independent logistics control.

3. CFR (Cost and Freight)

Cost and Freight means that the seller delivers the goods by placing them on board the vessel or by procuring the goods already so delivered.

Seller’s Responsibility: Handle export customs clearance, pay ocean freight, and bear all costs and risks prior to loading.

Buyer’s Responsibility: Arrange cargo insurance at its own cost, handle destination port clearance, import duties and taxes, and bear all risks after loading.

Applicable Scenarios: Buyers who prefer the seller to arrange shipping schedules but wish to manage insurance independently.

4. CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight)

Cost, Insurance and Freight means that the seller delivers the goods by placing them on board the vessel or by procuring the goods already so delivered.

Seller’s Responsibility: Handle export customs clearance, pay ocean freight and cargo insurance, and bear all costs and risks prior to loading.

Buyer’s Responsibility: Handle destination port clearance, pay import duties and taxes, and bear all risks after loading.

Applicable Scenarios: Overseas small and medium-sized buyers, regular bulk orders, those seeking hassle-free and secure cooperation.

5. DAP (Delivered at Place)

Delivered at Place means that the seller delivers the goods when they are placed at the disposal of the buyer, cleared for import, at the named place of destination.

Seller’s Responsibility: Deliver the goods to the buyer’s specified place, bear the entire transportation, insurance, and all risks during transit.

Buyer’s Responsibility: Handle import customs clearance, pay customs duties and related taxes and fees, and cooperate to complete the receipt of goods.

Applicable Scenarios: Door-to-door transportation, air freight/courier/multimodal transport, small batch replenishment.

6. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)

Delivered Duty Paid means that the seller delivers the goods when they are placed at the disposal of the buyer, cleared for import on the arriving means of transport, at the named place of destination.

Seller’s Responsibility: Bears all responsibility throughout the entire process, including transportation, insurance, export/import customs clearance, customs duties/VAT, and delivery to the buyer’s doorstep.

Buyer’s Responsibility: Simply receives the goods at the agreed location without handling any customs clearance, tax payment, or other formalities.

Applicable Scenarios: Buyers requiring minimal operational involvement, delivery duty-paid door-to-door service.
